About Bethany College
Founded in 1840, Bethany College is the oldest private college in West Virginia and is based in the tradition of the liberal arts. With an enrollment of about 1000 students, the College is located on a beautiful 1300-acre campus just 39 miles from Pittsburgh, PA, 22 miles from Washington, PA, and 14 miles from Wheeling, WV. The College has the advantages of being a small school, with 100% of faculty teaching undergraduates and an average class size of 14, and it also boasts over 50 student organizations, nearly twice the national average acceptance rate to medical school, and a student body passionate about academics, athletics, and community service.
